Dan Milham

Dan Milham is a free lance professional photographer who, in addition to serving on the board, acts as the Public Relations manager for New Orleans Medical Mission Services, Inc. Dan manages the web site of NOMMS and is responsible for most of the photographs you see on the web site and in social media.

Dan has been an avid photographer for 50 years, Since he aquired his first single lens reflex camera while serving in Viet Nam as a soldier in 1967/68.

He received the Army Commendation Medal for his services.

At the end of 2008 he retired after 50 years in broadcasting, the last 31 at WDSU TV, in New Orleans, as a broadcast meteorologist.

During his career at WDSU he received several awards for his weathercasting from the Press Club of New Orleans and the Louisiana Associated Press.

He is also the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Press Club of New Orleans.

He has been honored as Volunteer of The Year by NOMMS and Rotarian of The Year by the Rotary Club of Metairie, LA, in which he has served as President and currently serves as Program Chair.
